Phnom Penh – Cambodia welcomed approximately 1 million domestic and international visitors during the 2019 Lunar New Year holiday, up 8 percent against the same period last year.
According to the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, the numbers of domestic and foreign travellers saw annual increases of over 11 percent and over 2.5 percent, respectively.
During the period, Siem Reap province, which houses the Angkor Wat temple complex, served more than 90,000 arrivals, rising about 4 percent on year. Of the sum, 40,000 were foreigners.
