April 19, 2019 – This is the Cantor’s giant soft-shell turtle. It’s an extremely rare species in Cambodia that can grow to be the size of a small sofa and live for more than a century. A restaurant owner bought it from fishermen and brought the turtle to the Mekong Turtle Conservation Center. The community has gathered to release the turtle back into the wild.
